St. Jean Baptiste High School Admissions Process & Scholarship Information

At St. Jean Baptiste High School, we are committed to offering a transformative, faith-based college preparatory education that empowers young women to excel academically, spiritually, and socially. As part of our admissions process, we are excited to offer various scholarship opportunities to qualified applicants. Please read the following steps carefully to ensure you are fully prepared for both the admissions process and potential scholarship considerations.

 

Step 1: Complete the St. Jean Baptiste Application

The first step to joining our community is to complete the official St. Jean Baptiste High School Application. This application is your opportunity to introduce yourself to us, share your accomplishments, and highlight your aspirations.

 

Scholarship Note: To be considered for scholarships, students must complete and submit this application. A robust and thoughtful application increases your eligibility for more opportunities, so we encourage you to take time in crafting your responses and gathering necessary documents. The additional materials you submit will undoubtedly strengthen your overall application.

 

Step 2: Register for the TACHS Exam

All prospective students must register for the TACHS (Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools) Exam. The TACHS is an important part of the admissions process and helps us assess your academic readiness for our rigorous curriculum. The TACHS Exam will be administered on November 8th and 9th, 2024. Registration for the Exam is open from August 26th to October 30th, 2024. Please register for the exam at https://tachsinfo.com/

Scholarship Note: A strong TACHS score can significantly boost your scholarship potential. Be sure to prepare and give your best effort on the exam!

 

Step 3: Attend Our Open House

We invite all prospective students and their families to visit our campus during one of our upcoming open houses. It’s a great opportunity to experience our community firsthand, meet with current students and faculty, and learn about the exceptional programs we offer. Scholarship Note: Attendance at our open house is encouraged as it gives you a chance to ask questions about scholarships and the admissions process.

 

Step 4: Apply for Financial Assistance

TADS Application for Financial Aid

To apply for financial assistance, please complete the MyTADSs application by visiting www.mytads.com.

 

 

Step 5: Obtain Two Recommendations

As part of your application, you will need to submit two recommendations from individuals who know you best in an academic setting. These recommendations must be completed by a school administrator or your 8th-grade teacher. The recommendation forms provide additional insight into your character, work ethic, and potential for success at St. Jean.

Scholarship Note: Submitting strong recommendations will further enhance your application for scholarship consideration. Ensure that the individuals writing your recommendations can speak to your strengths and accomplishments.

 

Step 6: Submit Your Application by December 10, 2024

All applications must be submitted by December 10, 2024, to be considered for admission and scholarship opportunities. Submitting your application on time ensures that you will be fully considered for all available scholarships.

 

Scholarship Note: The earlier and more robust your application, the more opportunities you have to be considered for various scholarships. Remember, a thorough and complete application strengthens your chance of securing financial aid!

 

Important Reminders:

Application Deadline: December 10, 2024

  • Completing the application is required for scholarship consideration.
  • Two Recommendations must be submitted by a school administrator or 8th-grade teacher who knows the student best.
  • Students must take the TACHS Exam and list St. Jean Baptiste HS(#206) as a school choice
  • Families must complete the MYTADS Application to be considered for Financial Aid by December 10, 2024.
  • Students who submit a thorough and complete application will be considered for scholarship opportunities.
