"Phoenix for a Day"
Dear Prospective Jeanite Families,
We are so excited to invite your daughter to experience what it’s like to be a part of the St. Jean Baptiste family through our Phoenix for a Day shadow program! This is a unique opportunity for 8th-grade girls to step into the life of a Jeanite, spending the day alongside one of our 9th or 10th-grade students.
At St. Jean, we believe that every student has the potential to soar, and Phoenix for a Day allows your daughter to truly immerse herself in our vibrant community. She’ll sit in on engaging classes, share lunch with her buddy, and discover what makes St. Jean so special—from the strong academics to the friendships and experiences that shape every student’s journey here.
We want your daughter to see firsthand what it means to be part of a school that celebrates her individuality, encourages her growth, and provides her with the tools to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. She’ll get a real feel for what it’s like to be a Jeanite—whether it’s getting involved in our wide range of clubs, sports, and activities, or simply walking through our halls filled with history, sisterhood, and pride.
Phoenix for a Day Dates:
- Wednesday, October 30th
- Wednesday, November 6th
If these dates don’t work for you, don’t worry! You can always reach out to me to arrange an alternate day.
Additionally, if you would like your daughter to attend Phoenix for a Day after the TACHS exam and once school admissions decisions have been released, we’re offering the following dates:
- Wednesday, January 29th
- Wednesday, February 5th
- Wednesday, February 12th
During her visit, your daughter will be paired with one of our students based on shared interests, hobbies, or even elementary schools to ensure she feels welcomed and connected from the moment she arrives.
Phoenix for a Day Schedule:
- Arrival: 9:00 AM (please enter through the main entrance and proceed to the main office to meet your buddy).
- Dismissal: 2:00 PM
Guidelines:
- Phones will be collected in the main office and can be picked up at the end of the day.
- Students are expected to wear their “Buddy Pass” lanyard throughout the day.
- An “Excuse Note” will be available in the main office for students to take back to their current school.
- Students should dress in business attire or wear their school uniform if they attend a Catholic school.
- All school rules and regulations must be followed. Any behavior deemed inappropriate or damaging to the school’s reputation may result in the student being sent home with an adult.
- We will provide lunch, but students are welcome to bring their own if preferred.
